A problem is essentially anything that is keeping us from our preferred or ideal situation. The thing is, most people don’t really know what is their ideal situation. I kind of disagree with this quote, because often what is in the way of our ideal situation is us. However, in the vernacular that you use, that would be our egoic self, rather than our true self, and in that sense Tolle’s quote rings true. So in other words, we just need to get out of own way!
