Acrtually, the moral of the story is that the evangelical Christians are a bunch of self serving hypocrites. Harsh? True? They look the other way at the egregious behavior of Donald Trump, so that they can get their Supreme Court justices who will lie to Congress and then, once confirmed, end up banning abortion. A means to an end.

Boebert, not to mention the adultering Christine Noem, governor of South Dakota, are just the public face of the “holier than thou” hypocrisy that pervades the religious community. There’s nothing new about the behavior itself, but it seems to be more open and tolerated, which is a sign of deterioration of societal norms. It used to be that people tried to hide their hypocrisy.
