Actually, it’s not, at least not at this time. AI is programmed to be able to learn, but it is still constrained by the silicon chip architecture. Quantum computing may totally upend that paradigm, but those applications are years away.

Also, regarding our perception of reality, the author really is talking about judgment. The different observers are getting the same information. But what if one observer only saw polarized light, or perhaps very little light at all. In that case, their perception of reality would be quite different.
