Actually, this is true in general. It can take several forms, such as evangelicalism, idealism, and expert mindset. I’ve been guilty of the latter. The problem is when we don’t tolerate other perspectives or consider people inferior or lost if they don’t embrace our wonderful insights. Of course with Christianity it’s a way of distinguishing between the Chosen and the damned, as if we get to decide!
