All of this could lead to multinational companies offshoring more salaried office jobs, just as they did manufacturing jobs. It’s fascinating that people believe that employees now have the upper hand and that this is somehow sustainable. The pandemic disruptions have created this temporary aberration. I suspect that a lot of people are in for a rude surprise in the next couple of years.
