All that and more. It seems that Zuckerberg is using his empire for control, self validation, and now to create an alternative reality as you describe. And you know what? I believe he does not fully understand his real, deep down psychological motivation. He is as much a despot as any Roman emperor, and he needs to be stripped of his power. The politicians won’t do it, though, because they want to use the platform for their own selfish purposes.
