Big Pharma always moans about needing to overcharge Americans to fund their R&D divisions. Remember, though, several years ago how the head of Pfizer HR commuted each day from Delaware by helicopter! There’s lots of money floating around these companies. I’d like to see them have to cut prices and then let’s see where the fat gets trimmed. They can do it if they have to.

By the way, Chris Cristie, who undoubtedly has been a benefactor of Big Pharma in New Jersey, claims that it’s the “middlemen” (the bastards!) who are to blame for the high costs, because they are pocketing the discounts and not passing them on to consumers. I’m sure there’s fat to trim there too. Wondering how much that contributes to our costs.
