Black and white thinking won’t solve these problems for us, but neither will denial. Stupid statements like those from the governor of Missouri and complete ignorance on the part of the Florida governor will make things worse. Whether or not kids get deathly ill, they will bring coronavirus home. It’s one thing they are exceptionally good at. Like Colbert said, he’s still getting over a cold his kids brought home ten years ago.

Here on the northwest side of Tucson, schools are starting school “virtual”, with the hope of getting kids back in the buildings when the community spread has simmered down. It’s not black or white, right or wrong, Democrat or Republican. It’s dealing with what IS. Let’s try to do more of that!
