Dr. Frieden, as much as I agree with what you wrote, FACTS will not persuade the vaccine hesitant. Their decision to not get vaccinated, or at least wait, is based on EMOTION; distrust and fear mostly. The people to whom they listen and trust are spewing vaccine fear mongering (Tucker Carlson and his ilk). It’s almost a badge of honor to refuse vaccination, like not wearing a mask during the height of the pandemic. The more the experts say they should get vaccinated, the more they resist.

There is no easy answer. We will probably need to experience another wave of infections in order for a significantly large cohort of people to get off the fence and get vaccinated. Meanwhile, getting more vaccines to people outside the US should be a priority.

By the way, number 5 is not a fact, it is speculation. Calling it a fact erodes your credibility as an expert. Just some feedback.
