And I saw them again in marketing segmentation studies and pet owner interviews we conducted when I was with a global animal health company. The point is, this is not who they are, but how they are, particularly under stress. Your article exhibits an absence of truly understanding their perspective, empathy actually. I get it, because it’s difficult to do when we are under stress ourselves trying to deal with emergencies, client’s’ demands, staff issues, and all that. But the fact remains, seeing our clients through this type of filter makes our job less enjoyable. We can, though, see it differently. We were trained to see what’s wrong.
