Freedom of speech was originally intended to allow people to critize and question authorities without fear of reprisal. It has now been taken to the extreme. Hate speech, lies, and calls to violence are unacceptable and should not be allowed. The remedy is for someone who feels aggrieved to bring the issue before the courts. Dominion’s lawsuit against Fox News, or the Georgia election workers against Giuliani, are examples.
