Ha! Bad news, folks, it doesn’t get any better as you get older. I can certainly relate to all this. I’m at the point that I really don’t want to go through this process anymore. I’ll be interested in your theory on why this is such a mess, but I believe it’s because people are looking for their ideal partner, and, of course, no one can meet those expectations. Plus, so many people seem to be stuck in decades-old patterns that serve to protect them emotionally. It’s hard to crack through that barrier. Oh well.
