Hmmm. I find myself believing that at times, but the universe is incomprehensibly immense, and I doubt that it gives a rat’s ass what we do. So, this statement itself seems incredibly egoic.

Is there an external component to our inner guide? Are we connected to a higher consciousness? It’s easy to interpret many of our experiences that way. I know I do. But again, that’s just an interpretation, one fueled by an ego thst wants to believe that “I matter”. Meanwhile, in the real universe galaxies are colliding and black holes are consuming massive amounts of matter, with absolutely no concern about any living beings in their paths. It’s quite humbling to consider.
