Hopefully the technology has improved. The heat pumps I had in Virginia all ended up having issues with reversing switches (leading to ice accumulation on the unit) and failed circuit boards. The concept is sound, but the implementation left a lot to be desired. Also, how is your electricity generated? Natural gas, coal?
