I agree with what you wrote Doctor, but then why is one J&J shot ok? It provides roughly the same protection as one shot of either mRNA vaccine. This is really just a regulatory issue, based on how the vaccines were tested. It’s time for leading experts to come out and say, two shots are better than one, but one shot of any of them gives essentially the same protection, albeit less than with two shots. The onus is on J &J to submit data on the effectiveness of two vaccines, but those data will be harder to come by as the cases drop. Meanwhile, the leading medical voices need to speak to us with common sense. Perhaps we should be focusing our attention on getting more people vaccinated, one shot or two. Choose your vaccine, and at least get one. That should be ok in the near term. And we are still in the near term.
