I appreciate your honest, authentic, and very well written recap of your experiences, Bonnie. Sorry to say, but it does not get any better. It seems that you have done a lot of beneficial personal development work. What you will find, though, is that you are in the minority in that regard, and so the gap between you and all the developmentally stunted schlubs out there will only widen. That’s what I have experienced with the women on dating sites. It’s exactly as you have described. So, no, it’s not you, and yes, it’s you! Keep growing and evolving, and maybe a great guy will come into your life, or maybe not. Getting to the place where that is a “nice to have”, rather than a “need to have” is the key, I believe. I keep believing that I will connect with a great lady who has “ done her work”, but meanwhile I have a pretty nice life as it is.

By the way, some of us AARP guys are still a good catch!😁
