I enjoyed the article. I saw a lot of myself in the maximizer descriptions.

A comment on the statement about choices usually not being binary: Yes, that is true, however when we are stressed the choices ARE binary. That’s because in a stress response our neurophysiology is wired to make a life-saving decision right now, and so we are reduced to black-and-white, this-or-that thinking. For many, this appears as clear decisiveness, but in fact, this can be deceptive clarity. There may be more creative options that provide a much better result. This is not maximizing, but rather, it is the ability to see different perspectives and opportunities.
