I had a meditation group several years ago that provided that sense of kinship. The glue that bound us together was curiosity. We were always exploring together, sharing new insights we had gleaned, and also sharing moments of deep stillness. We weren’t lecturing each other, nor did we have speakers who lectured to us. That seems to be a fundamental difference between a collaborative community and traditional church. You don’t grow when someone deemed the authoritative expert tells you what is right and what is wrong.
