In reading this article and the many comments offering different, nuanced definitions of racism, I think I see the problem. Liberals wring their hands about underlying biases and how those lead to systemic racism, and meanwhile there is nothing nuanced at all about the racism of Trump, his surrogates, and his millions of acolytes. So let’s just start with the obvious before cutting our own wrists.
