Interesting article but it seems to miss an important point. Science is simply a discipline of making observations, whether it be a fleeting subatomic particle or the effects of a drug in a cohort of individuals. The validity of the interpretations of results is dependent on the robustness of the methodology, and as we know, what we believe to be true can be upended by new data.
Pseudoscience takes information and weaves a story that fits the beliefs of the teller. Doctors who use very technical terms (like the names of various mediators of inflammation) to envelop themselves in a veneer of expertise to convince people to buy into their program is an example. Pseudoscience always has an underlying agenda. Unfortunately, so does science at times.
