It seems that we always want what we don’t have. The grass is greener, etc. When we are in a long term relationship, we often yearn for independence and the ability to experience new people. When we are single and realize that very few of those new people are worth experiencing, we yearn for a partner. In the absence of the perfect soulmate, which, of course, is a figment of our projections, what are we to do? There’s probably nothing new to reveal. Get totally grounded in oneself, accept and love oneself, and experience people for who they are. Different people can provide different experiences. If we aren’t attached to an outcome, that can be very rewarding.
