It’s funny, but we keep having these fantasies about what an ideal candidate for president should be. These fantasies ignore the rough and tumble political process and the types of people that process elevates. Obama was an interesting exception, in many ways, but he wasn’t necessarily a great president. A good one, yes, but not what we might have idealized. I’m not a huge fan of VP Harris, but it’s who we’ve got to lead the war against Trumpism and his MAGA Orks. I actually think she may turn out to be just who we need in this moment. She’s got my support 100%!
