Job interview “gotcha” questions are bullshit, and they tend to select for people who are good at bullshitting. No one who is really good at what they do has instant answers to complex questions. And if they do, I’d worry about that. Now, questions about how someone would approach a complex situation are reasonable and useful, as long as there’s not a “right” answer.
