News flash! We did not build our own tables in 1970. Stores were full of them. Also, crime was horrible, the country was torn apart because of Vietnam, and there was more overt violence than today. Here’s what’s different about today though. Everybody can have an opinion that is seen by others, and social media depersonalizes our interactions so that we express whatever enters our mind with no filter. They say that booze is liquid courage. Well, we live in an age of “digital courage”, which is really a form of cowardice.
