Sarah, I cannot imagine what it is like to walk in your shoes. Clearly, throughout your life others have tried to define your identity. It seems to be something that we need to do. I encourage you to reject others’ attempts to identify you by such simplistic parameters. You, and all of us, have an identity that is uniquely your own, and that only you own.
