Thank you for sharing this study. It is quite fascinating. As with all new findings, it will need to be corroborated. One aspect of this is prevention of muscle depletion (sarcopenia) with age. The study you cite was done in young adults. As an older person who works out regularly, I wonder if the same would hold true for older individuals. I also consider that excessive protein intake has been associated with contributing to kidney disease in older individuals, although that might be an outdated notion.
