Thank you for sharing your experiences and discussing racism so honestly. Racism, such as you describe, is a product of ignorance and fear. The ignorance can be ingrained culturally, and is difficult to overcome. Fear is being amplified to great heights by all forms of media, some of which is widely visible and others more hidden but no less pervasive. This is what is at the root of increasing racial animus in this country, I believe, and it is much more difficult to combat than ignorance. I wish you well. I wish all of us well.
