Thank you for this powerful imagery in the midst of your crisis. I am reminded of a footbridge between clinics at Emory university where my ex-wife had her cancer surgery. Fortunately she had no remissions.

Waiting for a loved one in surgery can be an ordeal, especially when it is taking much longer than expected. We always assume the worst. How can we not? Hopefully the persistence of your wife’s surgeons will pay off for the long term.
