Thank you for your thoughtful response. It’s a fact that without my daughter I would have likely gotten into relationships that would not have been in my best interest. Chasing after “shiny objects” and seeking affirmation from others.

In my case there is no risk of me burdening someone else with caring for my daughter, but I understand that that could be a concern for someone.

The bottom line is that, yes, I would love to be in a mature, loving relationship. From my experiences so far, that seems quite elusive. Not impossible, but it’s like looking for a diamond in the rough- blindfolded and one hand tied behind my back!😆
