Thanks for your thoughts, Arturo. I meant what I wrote. They undoubtedly had strict bio safety measures in place at the Wuhan lab, but I can believe that adherence to these measures fell short and that someone at the lab contracted the virus. I can also believe that they were pushing the envelope in their research activities. I can further believe that I may have some bias in that regard. The real problem is the absence of any transparency by the Chinese authorities. That may just be their usual resistance to outside scrutiny, or it may mean they have something to hide. Who knows. That’s why there are disparate opinions. In the absence of actual data, we rely on assumptions and existing biases.
