The present is actually infinite, and maybe your time as wave hypothesis explains this. If we try to identify what is “the present”, we can always find infinitely smaller increments of time. In that context, neither the past nor future exist, and the present can never really be pinned pinned down on a linear time scale. Of course “time” is really an artifact of perception, based on our experiences and recognition that our time is finite.
