This article very succinctly sums it up. Group 2 is probably the largest. Of course, there can be overlap, and in my case having a disabled daughter was the tipping point for my ex wife. Taking responsibility for my part and digging into my crap, as you described in group 2, was incredibly liberating. It also allowed me to embrace being the sole caregiver for my daughter. Funny how things work out.
