This gets to an early concern that the lipid nanoparticle vehicle for the spike protein mRNA could penetrate the blood brain barrier and elicit an unwanted immune response. Yes, this seems to be a rare occurrence, but I believe that in some instances over-vaccination is a risk. For instance, I am thrice vaccinated and twice diseased, most recently with an Omicron variant ( super mild disease) My government and public health experts tell me I should get the new booster, but I don’t believe so, at least not with the currently circulating variants. I understand that the public at large cannot handle nuanced messaging based on evolving science, but the discussions need to move past black and white perspectives. Thus, we should be able to digest data such as these without going totally antivax, while at the same time being somewhat circumspect about vaccinating everyone every 6–12 months, just because.
