This is so spot on! Mindfulness is great, but it is not a cure for anything. In fact, being mindful might make us more aware of some physical problem involving any of our body systems, but it won’t fix the problem. Mindfulness Is recommended to manage stress and anxiety, but it does not address or uncover the underlying reason for one’s stress mindset. In those situations, it simply sets the person up for another failure, which reinforces the underlying belief that fuels their stress mindset. It’s very disappointing that some psychotherapists miss this point.
