This isn’t really about good or bad. It’s all about Shadow, Karl Jung’s concept of all the taboo things we hide in our unconscious mind. If these are not brought into consciousness purposefully and intelligently, then all hell can break loose. How to do that? Comedy is actually a great way. Even some video games, surprisingly. And what about all those murder mysteries on TV and the movies? Some have even suggested that the Catholic Mass is an expression of Shadow.

Nations can have their own collective Shadow, and that’s what erupted in Nazi Germany. I see evidence of that happening here in the U.S. At some point, there is a point of no return and it will be expressed violently. We are close to that, I believe, but not there yet. A mass deportation, as suggested by Trump, could tip the scales. We’ll see.
