People want to portray complex situations as victim/oppressor scenarios, when there is so much more at work. I believe that all of the outside agitation and meddling in the Middle East is actually keeping the conflict active, when it otherwise might be resolved. What’s particularly interesting is that the land that everyone is fighting over has little intrinsic value, other than it’s where people of different backgrounds want to live. It seems to have been that way for thousands of years.
