Those are great motivators. I’m comfortably retired, and yes, it can be a long, difficult slog. Also lots of rewarding experiences along the way. I sometimes wonder if young people entering the workforce have a doomsday mindset that tells them that there is no future, so don’t bother with doing the work to build financial stability. Of course, it could be true, but it’s the wrong bet.
