Very insightful and well articulated.

To add a twist, it’s even more difficult when the source of your hurt acts like there’s nothing wrong, thus invalidating your feelings while at the same time tempting you back into the toxicity. You’re right. The source of our pain is not going to help us get through it.

Also, sometimes it is very beneficial to retreat into our uncomfortable feelings, for a little while at least.
