VERY long article that did not address the issue of exit strategy. There IS an exit strategy to consider: massive testing for exposure, using blood antibody tests. The U.K. is close to deploying a home test that acquires blood by a needle prick, just like diabetics do for glucose monitoring.

Once there is a critical mass of exposed and immune people, certain aspects of societal functions can resume.

One potential side effect, and it’s in the realm of social shaming, is you could have a de facto class structure develop of the exposed and “immune” ( we don’t know what is the correlation between being antibody positive and protected from infection) and those who are still susceptible. The former group would likely have more freedoms than the latter.

This will get interesting, in ways we still don’t recognize.
