Wait a minute! Are you saying that before Jesus, God, the All-Knowing God, lacked the empathy to understand our travails and suffering? That makes absolutely no sense. It seems like another example of creating God in our image and likeness. A God who probably needs therapy!

There seem to be numerous contradictions in Judeo-Christian theology. Most of them have to do with anthropormorphizing God and imbuing God with human foibles and imperfections. Kind of like the gods of Ancient Greece and Rome (who also impregnated attractive young women).
