Wait! You mean it’s all made up?

I was force fed these stories as being truth when I was a child. Of course, I believed them. Why would my parents and the religious leaders in our lives lie to me?

The real problem with believing these stories is that people wrap up their identity and validity in these beliefs. That makes it quite difficult to question any of it, and it is quite threatening when others question it.
