We know that the Pfizer mRNA vaccine is also highly effective with one dose. The question then is regarding duration of immunity. I recognize that the imperative is to get as many people vaccinated ASAP, but what about revaccination? When should people who get the one shot vaccine get revaccinated? Anything in the J&J submission about that?

I know I would want a second shot within 4-6 months. We will likely get another smaller covid surge later in the year, because many will remain unvaccinated.

BTW, keeping fingers crossed that there are no surprise adverse events with the mRNA vaccines. I’m not so concerned about the recombinant viral vectored J&J vaccine, but the nRNA vaccines using lipid nanoparticles have the potential to go places we don’t want, like the central nervous system. Getting an immune response there is usually not so good.
