What a dumb argument by the anti-vaxxers! Even if every point made in this editorial is true, then great! We’ve protected people against more lethal covid variants and now people are getting infected ( and immunized) with less lethal variants. A huge success!

This virus has shown itself to be highly mutable and thus adaptable. If it’s virulence diminishes as it further adapts to human hosts, then we have done our job. Of course, a more lethal variant might also pop up, but that would most likely happen in an immunologically naive population.

Here’s what we should be paying more attention to. What about all the covid variants in wildlife populations? One of those could be the lethal outlier that could reignite a serious medical crisis.
