When I read these articles about all the “partnership non-starters” out there (gender independent), I wonder why I would even bother trying to find someone to be with. It’s like, there’s probably this great person out there whom I’d love to be with, but first I have to churn through a couple hundred losers to find her. And, yes, the female version of what you wrote about exists in abundance. So, what to do? I guess I’ll just try to enjoy the life that I have in this moment, maybe reach out to meet a new person who seems interesting, and definitely don’t get attached to a particular outcome.
