Why won’t he just say “Welcome”? Why all the questions? That sounds like the Old Testament judgment crap.

By the way, judgment is what keeps us from being who we really are, as you suggested. So if that’s true, God’s judgment, the ultimate judgment, would be the greatest impediment to us being who we really are. So if God were to ask me this question, I would answer by saying, “Because I felt judged.”

I think you may be getting closer to what “heaven” is really all about, though. It is about being who we truly are! In the purest sense. Just like with hell, it’s completely accessible to the living.
