How in the world do we get to where we can have constructive disagreement, in which different perspectives can be reconciled? Isn’t that a fundamental part of the legislative process? Reconciliation? Even before Trump, it seems that your colleague Mitch McConnel intentionally obstructed anything the Obama administration put into the legislative process, biding his time till 2017.

I hope that once voters have doused the “Wicked Witches” with the water of democracy Republicans in Congress will feel free to legislate according to your vision.
