Wow, you are horrible. NOT!!! What I am sensing are various limiting beliefs that kick in when you fail to be perfect. We all have them, and these can be heightened when we are in extraordinary situations. As an older, sole caregiver for my disabled daughter I understand that all too well. Sometimes I DO feel like a victim and it DOES make me feel anger and resentment. Not for long, though. I have a special purpose in life, and I have leaned into that, with all that comes with it. Is it a sacrifice? Yes. Especially by understanding the Latin origin of the word, from sacre (sacred) and facere ( to make). Yes, sacrifice literally means “to make sacred”. How many of us get to do that? How many of us will accept that opportunity/challenge? It is not an easy path, but taking the easy path inevitably leads to feelings of emptiness. What people do to fill that void can be highly destructive, more often than not.
