Yes, and most of us aren’t ready to confront these long festering emotional wounds. It’s funny, but when I have done this work it has been so incredibly liberating, permanently removing some weight I have lugged around for decades. However, when I have to confront another ghost from the past I dread it. So yeah, people would rather smolder in their misery than confront its source and taste freedom.
