Yes, I agree! Shame is a deep and murky subject, and it is exploited by social groups to keep people in line. The origins of an individual’s shame can be found very early in life and form the substance of one’s inner critic. Exorcising it’s power is indeed a liberating event. Probably the greatest gift we can give ourselves.
