Yes, I saw the problem when I read this, but it’s different than what you identified. It’s the Tik Tok, Instagram, and texting culture that people are wholly engaged in. There’s a mindset of superficiality that pervades younger generations. I know, “Kids today!”. 😆 Nonetheless, the way people default to engaging with other people does have consequences. Unconsciously creating barriers to intimacy, while engaging in the process of connecting to others, would seem to lead to the situations described here.
